Abstract

Thermographic material comprises a support coated with a layer contg a mixt of solid particles of two cpds which react to produce a colour when heated, one cpd being a metal carboxylate or a phenol and the other a cpd of formula (I): where the R's may be various substituents with one pref. being a long chain substituent. Use of (I) gives improved sensitivity and contrast.
