Abstract

Tackifier consists of a polymer contg. repeating units of formula (I), 5-95% of the unsatd. gps. of this polymer being hydrogenated. (where R1 and R2 are each H, methyl, ethyl or propyl). A constant ratio exists between adhesive power and degree of hydrogenation, enabling the adhesive power to be accurately controlled, with good colour, stability and low cost.
