Abstract

A trim for the edges and rim of a disc, esp. a dartboard of sisal or similar fibres compressed radially inwards by a metal hoop, is formed from a strip of elastomer such as PVC sheet, pressed under heat, stretched, cut and welded so as to form a covering for the rim with a double fold for the front and rear outer edges of the disc. The centre section of the strip being stretched to the greatest extent, whilst the degree of stretch in the two outer sections diminishes progressively outwards from the inner to the outer edges of the folded strip.
