Abstract

One half mould is pivoted on the machine framework and the other is retractable horizontally. After the mould has been inverted and filled with sand, one half of the mould is withdrawn and the other half mould, together with the core, is rotated on a vertical pin to bring the mould outside the machine. The housing is then rotated about the longitudinal axis, and a conveyor brought underneath the mould which is ejected on to it, the distance being so small that no damage results. These additions do not interfere with the normal operation of the machine.
