Abstract

Rot-proofing and/or insecticidal and/or fungicidal mixts. for wood treatment (as additives for plywood glue and in the prodn. of chipboard, etc) are produced by dissolving the active ingredient(s) in a nontoxic solvent with a high flash point (pref. >100 degrees C) and a high b.p. (pref. >200 degrees C) esp. a phthalate, isophthalate or terephthalate ester, and absorbing the soln. in a finely divided, dry, inert carrier. The mixts. can be stored and used without the risk of releasing toxic or inflammable vapours.
