Abstract

Antiparasitic agents contain at least one active substance of formula (I) (where R1, R2 and R3 are Cl or Br and R4-R8 are H, halogen, NO2, CN, alkyl, alkylsulphamoyl). (I) have anthelmintic activity against e.g. nematodes and trematodes (esp. Fasciola hepatica). Cpds. of formula (I) in which R4-R8 are alkylsulphonyl or dialkylsulphamoyl, as well as the cpds. m-trichloromethyl-benzonitrile and 2-chloro-4-trichloromethylbenzonitrile are new, as are processes for their preparation are claimed.
