Abstract
Cattle feed comprise (a) one or more compounds of formula (I): (where R is lower alkyl, or one of their acid-addition salts); (b) an animal feedstuff and (c) opt. additives such as vitamins, trace elements, antiparasitic agents, stabilizers and binders. (I) increase the animals need for food and thereby promote growth rate. Pref. concentration of (I) is 1-5 mg/kg. Pref. dose rate for cattle is 0.1 to 0.3 mg/kg/day. (I) may be used as a feed additive or as a dilutable drink concentrate. A pig food comprised meat meal 75 g, soya meal 65 g, dried lucerne 12 g, NaCl 4 g, trace element mixture 0.5 g, CaCO3 5 g., vitamin mixture 2 g, I(R=Me) hydrochloride 3 mg, yellow maize meal to 1 kg.
