Abstract

Cpds of formula: where A is -CH2CH2-, -CH2CH2CH2-, CH2.CH(OH)-CH2-, or -CH2.O.CH2-, R is H or one or two OH, -OMe or -CH2OH, R1 is H, OH, R2 is H, Me or Et, R3 is H, alkyl. The salts, pref. given at 0.01-0.3 g/day orally rectally, parenterally or by inhalation of fine powders, are better than the sodium salts used in treatment of dyspnoea and bronchoconstriction. They have a long lasting prophylactic effect.
