Abstract

Heparin compsn. contg., a substance (I) resistant to gastric fluid but which breaks down in the jejunum, pref. within 2-4 hrs., and a wetting agent (II) which increases the absorption of the heparin into the blood stream. The wt. ratio of (II):heparin is 1:1-4. Pref. (II) is dehydrocholic acid. Examples of (I) are gluten, methacrylic acid copolymers, styrene-maleic acid copolymers and cellulose and starch derivs.
