Abstract

Vacuum is produced using a diffusion pump contg. title cpd. which is obtd. by hydrolysis and condensn. of 1,3,3-trimethyl 1,1-diphenyl-3-butoxy siloxane with HCl. The siloxane has high b.pt. and is stable to heat and oxidn. It is used for producing vacuum tubes and electromicroscopes.
