Abstract

The material comprises polyurethane contg. a homogeneous distribution of up to 73 (60-73) wt.% absorption material, esp., B4C, Gd2O3 or LiF. It is used as a flexible foil or a mouldable, hardenable mass and is prepd. by mixing two components for polyurethane formation at room temp., mixing in the majority of the absorption material, polymerising and then adding the rest of the absorption material. The material is used for moulded construction elements or for sealing joints, spaces and leaks in reactor linings.
