Abstract

Rolls of woven fabric formed on beams are fed from a loom onto pref. a pair of inclined storage rails down which they roll to a stop, and the stop is actuated by pref. a foot pedal to allow each roll to roll separately down to a guide assembly (e.g. a roller assembly) in which the roll is supported whilst fabric is wound off the roll and fed over a pref. inclined inspection table having pref. an illuminated window. The fabric is wound up on a take-up beam supported pref. by raisl at the end of the table, the take-up beam being pref. driven by contact with a drive roller. Pref. the inspection table is in front of the storage rails and its inclination is adjustable.
