Abstract

The filament has spaced hollow sections contg. a filler which is a dyestuff or pigment, possibly a liq. crystal in the form of a paste. The filler alters at - 50 to +250 degrees C. The filament is a colourless or coloured transparent synthetic. Spaced cells of the filament can contain different fillers affected at different temps. and may be of different sizes. Useful when reversible, as security strips in documents, bank notes.
