Abstract

Compsn. comprise a homogeneous and unctuous mixt. of (a) an aq. complex and (b) a powder, the mixt. being brought to a creamy consistency by the use of a disperse phase. It is used as a hand cleaning cream for removing tenacious stains, e.g. grease, inks, carbon black and oil and has no detrimental action on the skin. Aq. complex is esp. 10-90% of the mixt. and is a combination of biodegradable anionic and non-ionic surfactant; powder is 5-80% of a finely divided alkali borate. A starch material esp. 0.5 - 10% maize starch may be incorporated.
