Low-resistance electrically sensitive recording materials consist of an opt. non-conductive support (e.g. paper or plastic) coated with a thin electrically sensitive recording layer, consisting of an organic binder and a mixt. of (i) esp. 1 wt pt. electrically reducible metal cpd. partic. ZnO and/or TiO2 and/or V2O5 and/or H2MoO 4 and/or H2WO4 and/or (NH4)6Mo7O24. 4 H2O, and (ii) esp. 1-10 wt. pts. CuI, distributed in binder. Incorporation of CuI allows a high density black pattern to be obtd. on recording layer at high speed and low voltage; cheap, non-conductive supports can be used.
