Abstract

Rope includes pref. a core component defined by a number of parallel pref. polyester filaments and having a low elongation capability before rupture (pref. 10%) and pref. a woven sheath component, surrounding the core element and of pref. polyamide filaments, and having a high elongation capability before rupture (pref. >25%). An outer woven casing of polyamide filaments may be provided around the sheath component.
