Abstract

An insulating glazing comprises simple panes connected by separators and air-tight coatings, parallel to each other. Light absorbing or shielding coatings are provided between the sealing coatings and the panes. Pref. the sealing product is a polysulphide cpd. and the light-absorbing coating is an epoxy paint contg. an adherence promoting silane. Alternatively this coating may be a metal, a ceramic paint or an org. paint. It may be a highly pigmented.
