Abstract

Electrodeposition of a precious metal or alloy onto an electroconductive substrate is carried out until the deposit reaches a thickness sufficient for self-supporting (pref. >=75 mu) and then the substrate is removed. A non-conductive substrate can be rendered electroconductive by chemical deposition of a metal coating by application of an electroconductive paint, etc. By this method, decorative articles, can be produced by direct copying.
