Abstract

A vacuum furnace is arranged to allow cooling of the charge by forced circulation of a controlled atmos. which is cooled by a heat exchanger and which is insulated from the charge by a screen, the forced circulation being obtd. by a centrifugal turbine. The turbine is mounted to aspire the controlled atmos. which has just passed over the heat exchanger, and to pump it towards the charge to be cooled.
