Abstract

Lanthanide oxides, esp. Pr or Eu oxides with traces of other oxides, are used in the treatment of cancerous growths. Unlike radiation treatment, the oxides are effective against single and multiple cells by setting up electrostatic gradients. The cancerous growth process can be reversed to recover healthy tissue. No damage to healthy tissue is involved as in radiation treatment.
