Abstract

Measuring tape esp. steel tape is covered with a powdered synthetic resin and the resin heated to fuse the powder to provide a uniform transparent coating. The powder may be applied by electrostatic deposition or by passsing the heated tape through a fluidised bed. Powder is polyamide, satd. polyester or epoxy resin.
