Abstract

Treatment of dental caries is improved by a prod composed of ground seeds, in the natural state, mixed with a soluble gum to make a lozenge for oral absorption. The seeds used may be whole wheat, rye, rice, gourd, pumpkin or litmus; calcium and sodium fluorides may be added in complementary quantities, as well as ascorbic acid. Several of the lozenges should be taken per day during the early months of pregnancy, and taken again by the child directly the milk teeth are in position.
