Abstract

Plastic tube is produced by (a) helically winding a strip of thread of semi-cured plastic material to form the skeletone of a tube in a direct continuous process, the cross section of the strip or thread having an opt. shape, (b) simultaneously forming a tube of soft plastic material, (c) combining the strip or thread with the soft plastic material in a chamber, and (d) automatically vulcanising and forming to a tube so that the soft plastic material is firmly bonded to the skeleton of the tube.
