Abstract

Catalysts are made from fine catalysts particles by mixing the particles with an aq. silica sol. to form a slurry, which is dried and calcined. The fine catalyst particles arise from the breakdown of zeolitic molecular sieve cracking catalysts in the course of use. The particles may contain 5-40% molecular sieve, which may be of type Y.
