Abstract

The cortiscosteroid may be prednisone, butamethasone, dexamethasone, triamcinolone, methylprednisolone or prednisone. Compsns. of cyclogenzaprine with indomethacin, phenylbutazone, oxyphenbutazone or a cortiscosteroid are useful in the treatment of bursitis, synovitis, tenosynovitis, fibrositis, strains and sprains, muscle trauma, torticolis, rheumatism etc. Compsns. contng. cyclobenzaprine and chlordiazepoxide are useful in the treatment of psychophysical disorders e.g. migraine of tension. The compsns. have synergistic activity, so that the drugs may be administered in smaller doses than those normally used, giving rise to fewer side effects.
