Abstract
Portland cement-based stress cement, swelling components of which contains CaO, is used in pre-cast reinforced concrete structural unit production by moulding the articles, ageing until sufficiently strong for stripping from moulds, stripping, hydrothermally treating at >=50 degrees C for 1-4 hrs. and then ageing in water for 3-4 days. Pref. hydrothermal treatment takes 2-4 hrs. at 50-90 degrees C, and pref. 1-2 hrs. at 90-100 degrees C.
