Abstract

Photographic material contains at least one layer with an azo dye bleachable by silver for the silver bleaching process,and at least one layer with a nitro cpd. of formula 1 (where A is a mono-or bicyclic aromatic group contg. one or two sulphonic groups; R1, R11, R2 and R12 are each a benzene ring; U, U1, V and V1 are each -CO-NH- or -SO2-NH-; and m, q, r and s are each 1 or 2). Cpds. 1 improve the image quality when bleaching catalysts are used. Cpd. 1 improve the image quality when bleaching catalysts are used. Cpd.1 are colourlessand do not cause yellowing, do not react with developers and are diffusion resistant.
