Abstract

Gravity casting machine which has the lower mould section supported on a framework and the upper half attached to the moveable head which pivots about a vertical axis on the casing. A support fixed to the moveable head can slide in a vertical manner. The machine may be equipped with one or two crane arms, each with vertical axes. When the casting machine has two arms both have the same control mechanism. The two arms may be integral or separate, each pivoting about its own axis. The moveable head and the crane arms move in sequence. Casting becomes more accurate with prolonged machine life and fewer work hazards.
