Addns. of magnesia plus a complex such as alkali ferro or ferricyanides, iron manganese hexacyanides or sodium (potassium) manganese ferrocyanide improve the "flowabiligy" and caking resistance of common salt. The high water absorption of MgO and the synergistic action of the components permits the use of smaller quantities of each additive than is the case when MgCO3 is used.
