Abstract

The heating elements are carried on the bottom layer of glass, and are spaced at intervals of several centimetres to ensure the driver's vision is good and clear. The system can be used for flat and convex mirror surfaces, to give an easily replaceable unit for vehicle external rear-view mirrors. Pref. glass layers are bonded via intermediate polyvinylbutyral layer.
