Abstract

A first layer of metal is formed on the surface of an insulant support in a first stage by covering the support with a mixture comprising the salt of the metal, a flux, and a solvent which is eliminated by baking at 75-200 degrees C. This is followed by a second stage in which the insulant is annealed at 500-900 degrees C so that the epidermis of the insulant is attacked by the flux giving the nitrate. In a third stage, a second metal is deposited by electrodeposition.
