Abstract

The support consists of, an expanded material with open cells surrounded by a skin of material with closed cells or alternatively of a material with closed cells, possessing a certain elasticity, surmounted by a thin flexible reflectgive film stretched over it, the base and the reflective element being contained within a flexible elastic rim. The mirror has no rigid parts and therefore minimises injuries by impact. It is conveniently moulded. The base is pref. of an expanded plastic or an elastomer, e.g. polyethylene, polypropylene, PVC or polyurethane. The mirror consists of a flexible film of thickness 6 - 25 mu perf. of polyster or polypropylene. It may be coated with Al ro Ag.
