Abstract

A sample is contained in a sealed receptacle, contg. a CO2 trap. The receptacle is connected to an O2 reservoir maintained at constant pressure. A dosing pump driven by an electric motor removes doses of O2 from the reservoir and delivers them to the receptacle so that the pressure in the receptacle is maintained constant. The number of doses given is recorded continuously as a function of time.
