Abstract

Complex of phenacetin (I) and cresotamide (II) in molar ratio 1:2 is storage stable, and so compsn. contg. it do not suffer from the disadvantages of mixtures of (I) and (II). The complex is prepared by heating (I) and (II) together, either in a solvent, or without a solvent to use the mixture. In an example tablets were prepared contg. 315 mg of the complex (equivalent to 115 mg (I) and 200 mg (II) plus 235 mg (I). These tables were stable on storage.
