Abstract

A photographic product comprises a support and transformed and sensitised silver halide grains, the halides formed by >=50 moles Br ions =10 moles I ions and =100 moles, Cl ions. The product also contains a carboxylated 4-thiouracil, pref. 1-carboxymethyl-3H-4-thicyclopenta-(d)-uracil, in an amount sufficient to alter the form of the characteristic curve of the silver halide grains. The product has increased stability and gives images of improved appearance with reduced fog.
