Abstract
Super thermal insulation, for liquefied gases, is constructed of alternating layers of radiation-shielding foil and insulating material. A gas channel, enclosed between two layers of foil, conducts outflowing vapourised gas. The resulting cooled radiation shield leads to considerable reduction of vapourisation rate.
