Abstract

Preparing graft copolymers by heating a silicone resin in the presence of vinylpyrrolidone at >110 degrees C. The process is simpler than prior art processes and gives good yields. The grafted resins have improved hydrophilic properties and are useful as prosthetics, contact lenses etc.
