Mixture of cement, sand and/or other additives and moulding sand contains, as flux, a binary mixture comprising a first component contg. Na-alkylsulphonate and polyethyleneglycolsulphate, and a second component contg. a polyglycolether of a fatty alcohol. Used in prodn. of moulds for metal-casting. The moulds have good mechanical strength during the casting step, the desired strength being obtd. in relatively short time.
