Abstract

Hydrolysis-resistant polyurethanes Reaction products of a material contg. reactive hydrogen (e.g. a polyether polyol, polyester polyol or hydrocarbon polyol), a mixture of org. isocyanates (the mixture comprising 100 pts. of an aromatic prepolymer polyisocyanate and 1 to 20 pts. of an alicyclic or aliphatic polyisocyanate) and a crosslinking agent such as a monomeric polyol, polymeric polyol, polyamine or amino-alcohol. The polyester polyol may be an addition-epsilon-caprolactone-1,6-hexanediol; the aromatic polyisocyanate is toluene diisocyanate or methylene-bis-(phenylisocynate), and the alicyclic polyisocyanate is 4,4'-methylene-bis-(cyclohexylisocyanate).
