Abstract

Mould has a core comprising two pirs of floating core segments which can be engaged by two corresponding pairs of dowel pins mounted in the fixed part of the core. One pair of pins is more inclined w.r.t. the mould axis than the other. The floating cores feature ribs or projections to create undercut profiles. When the mould is parted the segments converge radially as they fall on the dowels with one pair falling relatively quickly to create space for the other. No manual dismantling or assembly necessary for the mould cores for mfg. undercut profiles.
