Abstract

Androgenic higher esters of androstanolone. Title cpds. are 6-9C n-alkanecarboxylic esters of 17 beta-hydroxy-5 alpha-androstan-3-one. They are useful for sustained-action androgen therapy in human and veterinary medicine, being superior to the acetate and also having an anabolic effect.
