Abstract

Hot rolled rough rolled metal bars are discharged of interanl tension after leaving the rolling mill and during the dressing operation during which the bar advances while being rotated around its axis, by at least one vibration operation comprising angularly deviating the path of the bar in relation to its general line of advance. The operation renders the bar dynamically inert and avoids deformations within the bar to enhance its ultimate workability.
