Abstract

A process for studying the growth and physiology of bacteria enables their development under aerobic and anaerobic conditions to be examined simultaneously in the same receptacle. The growth of the bacteria is measured by the turbidity of the medium. This is measured optically by either shining a light beam through the medium or reflecting it from the medium.
