Abstract

Thermostable polybenzothiazoles of formula (Ar and Ar' are aromatic homo or heterocyclic 4-40C radicals, each of Ar and Ar' formed of one or several rings linked or bound together by a simple bond or by group chosen from -O-, -S-, or -SO- or -SO2- and in which the N and S atoms are fixed on the 2C atoms adjacent to Ar; n indicates the degree of polycondensation) and their prepolymers. The prepolymers are used in resins which are used in the preparation of high temp. resistant adhesives foams and cellular and moulded structures.
