Abstract

Heat-resisting insulating plates and panels are moulded under pressure and high temp. from a mixture of silico-argillaceous fibres and colloidal silica, pref. in the proportions 25-30: 75-70 moulded at 200 degrees C for 20-30 min. Pref. the fibres are Kaowool (RTM), and are suitable for continuous use at 1260 degrees C, they also confer acoustic and electrical insulation.
