Abstract

A granulator comprising a hollow horizontal rotating drum, in steel or resistant material, perforated with large bore holes and acting as a support for a him layer perforated cover. Raw material e.g. perfumery substrate, is fed to the exterior of the drum and ground between the perforated drum and a secondary solid drum rotating with a speed differential of about 5%. The ground material percolates the fine perforations to an internal chute pref. linked to a sifter to grade the material.
