Abstract

The welding head has two hinged jaws with a ring which apparates when the jaws open. The jaws have welding burners which rotate about the axes of the jaws when these are in a closed position. The ends of the pipes to be welded are positioned in the annular space formed by the jaws and ring, and between the jaws and the ring is a ring carrying current to the welding burners.
