Abstract

A pigment composition stable against "flaking" is prepared by treating a phthalocyanine pigment which has the tendency to flake with a swell amt. of a chloromethylated phthalocyanine pigment and an amine where R1 is H, alkyl, hydroxyalkyl, and R2 is alkyl, hydroxy, alkyl, alkoxyalkyl, aminoalkyl, cycloalkyl or aralkyl or R1 and R2 together with the N atom to which they are bonded form a heterocyclic radical, and the treated pigment is ground.
