Abstract

Stacking screens for cheeses are supplied with feet that fit into one another, have a lifting frame fitted with lifting hooks which engage in the feet of the screens. The device is suitable for transporting individual screens to various treatment posts such, for example, those for moulding and de-moulding. An unstacking component has a rail track with a treatment post at its centre where the honeycomb moulds are filled with pre-formed pieces of cheese. The principal advantage is that the screens slide into, and are withdrawn from, the bottom of the pile, so that the displacement planes are situated at the same level.
