Abstract

A support sheet is adhesively coated with flock, the support sheet and the flock being formed from two compatible plastic materials. In partic. the support and the flock may be formed from the same material. Polyurethanes, polystyrene, rubbers or pref. PVC may be used. The support sheet is pref. of 1,000-2,000 gm/m2 PVC coated with parallel bands of flock using PVC adhesive, the bands being several mm wide and spaced by an equal amount. The process may be used to produce patterned floor coverings.
